Understanding Self and Others: Assessments for Personal Development
A variety of assessment instruments such as the DiSC, and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) provide tools to help you understand your personal strengths, improve communications skills, and help you deal with people different than you.

The Otto HR Group, Ltd. uses only valid and reliable research based instruments.  Most are available in paper or on-line formats.  These instruments help you identify your personality and psychological preferences and tendencies. They provide ways of looking at yourself to help you determine your strengths and areas in need of development. They are not evaluation tools.

The instruments can be used for coaching in Individual Development Plans or in workshops with formal or informal groups/teams to assist in team building and to improve communications and work relationships.

Meeting Facilitation

These services may be provided by The Otto HR Group, Ltd., or may be performed in collaboration with client staff.

Planning and evaluation meetings are intended for organizations that want a more formal structure to help staff define goals, assign responsibility, set time tables and train staff in data collection and reports to meet desired outcome measures.

Supervisor Training
These multi-session workshops involve modules on topics, content and time frames collaboratively determined with the client.  It is important that the topics and presentation format be developed unique to your organization.

360۫ Assessments for Personal and Professional Development
Do you have employees with promise;  one who has a new role; one who is “stuck “ in your organization;  a good technical person who now has to supervise others?  Assessments help individuals identify their strengths and potential developmental needs through a confidential feedback report and can uncover potential blocs to development- flaws which could lead to career problems.

The individual being assessed (the participant) selects a number of others (raters) who individually complete surveys rating participant behaviors and skills.  Formal, confidential feedback is provided to participants to use in career planning.

Individual Employee Development Planning
Assessing the employee’s skill set and abilities in the context of his or her current job or a proposed new assignment is a critical base line for developing an individual professional development plan for success. Retaining and developing current employees can save recruitment dollars.  Often the development can be accomplished in-house and integrated into normal operations.
